Whether you have experienced “big T” trauma, such as an isolated event or events, including physical, emotional, or sexual abuse or neglect, or racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc., or “small t” trauma, which generally occurs in the context of relationships, we are here to support you.
We understand that the process of seeking support and putting trust in people, when you’ve been hurt or betrayed is an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe-feeling experience. We provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the impacts that past trauma has on your present-day life. We go at your pace and you are completely in control of what you share/don’t share. In fact, budding research has shown that merely retelling our trauma stories is not entirely effective in healing from trauma and in fact, can even be harmful at times if not done so, thoughtfully.
Approaches Used Include: Somatic Therapies, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Freedom Technique (EFT- Tapping), Hypnosis, Attachment-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and more!
