IN-PERSON THERAPY IN BURLINGTON, ONTARIO AND VIRTUAL THERAPY ACROSS ONTARIO

You don’t need to be in crisis to want something to change.

Maybe you're navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, or a major life transition. Or maybe life looks good on paper, but you feel disconnected from yourself, caught in familiar patterns, or unsure why understanding what's happening hasn't helped things feel different.

Therapy at Solstice offers space to slow down, explore the patterns shaping your experience, and understand yourself with greater compassion. Together, we'll work toward meaningful change, deeper connection, and a more grounded relationship with yourself and others.

When Understanding and Insight Isn’t Enough

You recognize your patterns, understand where some of them began, and can name the stories you carry. You've read the books, listened to the podcasts, and perhaps spent time in therapy exploring why you feel and respond the way you do.

And still, knowing why doesn't always change how it feels to live it.

You may find yourself repeating familiar patterns in relationships, feeling overwhelmed or disconnected despite functioning well on the outside, or struggling to translate what you understand intellectually into a different experience of yourself and your life.

Perhaps you're navigating a transition that has you questioning who you are, what you want, or what comes next.

You don't have to be in crisis to begin.

Therapy at Solstice offers space to move beyond insight alone. Together, we can explore the experiences and protective patterns that shape your relationships, reconnect with what you're feeling beneath the surface, and make room for new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Sometimes healing begins not because something is wrong, but because something within you is ready to be met more deeply.

You might find yourself...

  • Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depleted, or like you’re running on empty

  • Moving through grief, loss, trauma, or a significant transition

  • Finding yourself in relationship patterns you understand intellectually, but still struggle to shift

  • Feeling disconnected from your body, emotions, needs, or sense of self

  • Questioning your choices or finding it difficult to trust your own inner knowing

  • Struggling with boundaries, communication, vulnerability, or emotional intimacy

  • Thinking, analyzing, and understanding a lot - while still feeling stuck in the same place

  • Longing to feel more present, connected, grounded, or alive in your life

  • Knowing that something needs to change, even if you’re not quite sure what that is yet

You don’t need to see yourself in every one of these experiences. You don’t even need to know exactly what you need.

For adults who are navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or feel ready to understand themselves more deeply and create meaningful change.

We’ll begin by getting to know your experiences, patterns, relationships, strengths, and what you’re hoping for. Together, we’ll explore what may be keeping you stuck and develop a practical, personal way forward. Our work may include conversation, reflection, body-based exploration, and experiential practices, always guided by your goals and comfort.

Integrating Breathwork

Breathwork can be incorporated into psychotherapy as a gentle, experiential way of connecting with what is happening beneath the surface. Rather than replacing conversation, it offers another pathway into emotions, body sensations, nervous-system responses, and patterns that may be difficult to access through words alone.

When appropriate and consented to, a session may include Conscious Connected Breathwork, along with therapeutic preparation and integration. We’ll always begin with your goals, establish clear consent and boundaries, and move at a pace that feels supportive. Following the breathwork, we’ll make space to slow down, reflect on what you experienced, and connect it back to your therapeutic process and everyday life.

Breathwork is never something you have to do. It is one of many possible approaches we may draw from, depending on what feels appropriate for you.

How Therapy May Support You

Through therapy, you may work toward:

Explore the experiences, beliefs, and protective patterns that shape how you think, feel, and relate to yourself and others.

Reconnect with your emotions, needs, values, and sense of self, and develop greater trust in your own inner experience.

Explore attachment patterns, communication, boundaries, intimacy, conflict, and the ways you experience connection with others.

Develop greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and nervous-system responses, creating more space to choose how you want to respond.

Find support as you navigate anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, identity shifts, or significant life transitions.

Move toward choices that feel more aligned with who you are and what matters to you, rather than being guided primarily by fear, expectations, or others' needs.

Explore your values, desires, purpose, and what it means to feel more present, connected, and alive in your everyday life.

The patterns that once protected you don't have to define your future. With understanding, connection, and care, new possibilities can begin to take shape.

What Therapy at Solstice Can Look Like

Therapy is a collaborative process. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to talk about, which therapeutic approach you need, or how to explain everything you’re experiencing.

Your therapist will take time to understand you, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope might be different. From there, your work together can evolve around your needs, goals, experiences, and the relationship you build with your therapist.

Solstice offers:

  • Therapy for individuals, couples, and families

  • In-person sessions in Burlington, Ontario

  • Virtual therapy throughout Ontario

  • Trauma-informed, relational, and integrative care

  • An approach that considers mind, body, spirit, relationships, identity, and lived experience

What to Expect

Therapy at Solstice is a collaborative process. Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know you, understand what brings you in, and begin exploring what you’d like to be different. You don't need to arrive with everything figured out or know exactly where to begin — we’ll find the starting point together.

PSYCHOTHERAPY AT SOLSTICE INCLUDES:

  • 50-minute individual sessions for ongoing psychotherapy

  • 90-minute embodied therapy sessions when you’re interested in integrating psychotherapy with conscious connected breathwork and somatic exploration

  • Weekly or biweekly sessions, depending on your needs, goals, and preferences

  • Virtual psychotherapy for clients across Ontario

  • A collaborative, individualized approach shaped around your experiences, values, and goals

  • Integrative therapeutic approaches, which may include attachment-focused therapy, EFT, ACT, CBT, mindfulness, somatic and embodied practices, and breathwork when appropriate

Your therapist will draw from different approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. We may spend time talking and reflecting, explore patterns in your relationships, notice what is happening in your body, or experiment with new ways of responding.

There is no formula for how therapy should unfold. We’ll pay attention to what you need, what’s emerging, and what helps you move toward the life and relationships you want to create.
